The Crested Butte Real Estate Market had a record-breaking 2nd quarter. The Number of Sales and Sales Volume is up in all categories. Land is leading the charge with an 812% increase in the number of sales. As home prices continue to rise, buyers are seeing the value in building instead of buying a preexisting home, and with such low inventory, finding the right home is proving to be more difficult. Many wonder, will prices drop and/or level off. With various building projects on the horizon in 2022, it’s possible we could see enough increased inventory to slow down the growth of sales prices. But going back to basic economics, as long as inventory remains low and demand high, we will continue in a Seller’s market. Though it is a hard market for Buyers, you can find a great home with some patience.
